Comments: This walk is available seasonally, from April 1 through October 31. Start Location at the Visitors Center is on Front Street, immediately adjacent to the waterfront where most cruise ships dock. The walking distance from your ship to the Start Location will vary, depending on your ship’s assigned berth along the dock – ask your cruise personnel for walk directions from your ship to the Visitors Center. However, if your ship docks at the new Ward Cove dock, you’ll need to arrange for transportation for the 7 mile drive from your ship to town. Restrooms are available at the Visitors Center, and in town along the 5K route. The 5K includes trails, bridges, boardwalks, and one set of uphill stairs. The 10K route continues onward from the end of the 5K, exploring the neighborhood north of town, and is more hilly. The 10K route is on paved sidewalks, plus one set of downhill stairs. Strollers will have difficulty on the stairs, and may need to find some workarounds. All walkers pay $4.
