Comments: Restrooms at Start Location are for customers only. To be a customer you could purchase a lovely baked good or coffee if you wish; or you can walk across the street to Safeway for restrooms there. One other restroom available on the 10K route at Seward Park at about the 7K point. Pets not allowed on Light Rail, but ok on walk route if arriving otherwise. Leash and clean-up laws apply. Walk to Start from Othello Station: Disembark the train and walk south to Othello St. Left to cross Martin Luther King, then right to cross Othello St. Bakery is on the corner. See map below.
Driving Directions: From I-5, take exit 161 (Swift Ave / Albro Place) and then:
From I-5 northbound, turn right at end of ramp, onto Swift Ave. S. Continue 3/4 mile as Swift veers left and uphill to become S. Myrtle St. Then downhill to the intersection at Martin Luther King. Le’s Deli and Bakery is on opposite corner on right.
From I-5 southbound, turn left at traffic light at end of ramp, onto S. Albro Pl. Continue for one block and turn right on Swift Ave. S. Continue 3/4 mile as Swift veers left and uphill to become S. Myrtle St. Then downhill to the intersection at Martin Luther King. Le’s Deli and Bakery is on opposite corner on right.
For free short-term parking to register for the walk, turn right on 43rd Ave. S. and enter garage beneath the building. Then move your car before starting your walk, per comment below on parking.
