Easter on the Lake

NOTE:  This walk consists of two different 5K loops.  The trail rating on one of the 5K loops HAS BEEN UPDATED TO 3B, due to two steep hills, which last for one to two blocks each, at the beginning of the walk.  If this is too steep for your preferences, you have the option of walking the other 5K loop, which is rated 1A, for nearly flat terrain.  And, if you want to do a 10K walk, but 3B is not your preference, you may walk the 1A-rated 5K loop twice, for a total of 10K.

Walk on sidewalks and groomed trails through the charming Madrona neighborhood and alongside Lake Washington for beautiful waterfront views.  The 10K route is rated 3B, starting with a few steep hills at the beginning (see above note), afterwhich it smooths out to a gentle 2A and 1A route.  There will be two 5K options – one 5K route is rated 3B and follows along the hillier portion of the 10K route.  The other 5K route follows the flatter portion of the 10K, and stays along the lake for an out-and-back walk, rated 1A.
