Easter on the Waterfront
This year’s route will be a beautiful stroll along the waterfront on Elliott Bay Trail at Centennial Park (aka Myrtle Edwards Park), with a visit to the Olympic Sculpture Park. Parking will be at the Expedia Garage, on level P1 which is free but which has a limited number of spaces available. If the garage fills up, handouts with map to alternate nearby free street parking will be given to drivers arriving at the start location. Carpooling or use of public transit are encouraged. Driving Directions:
From I-5, take exit 167 “Mercer St / Seattle Center” (for NB drivers, this is a left-hand exit). Move to the middle lane of Mercer St., and continue STRAIGHT on Mercer for 2 miles until it ends at Elliott Ave W. Merge RIGHT onto Elliott Ave W and continue for 0.5 miles. Move to the right-hand exit-only lane for W Galer St Flyover, and turn RIGHT onto the W Galer St Flyover. Stay in LEFT LANE as the Flyover VEERS LEFT over railroad tracks, then VEERS RIGHT to T-intersection at Alaskan Way W. Turn RIGHT on Alaskan and then take the first RIGHT (at stop sign) onto W Galer St. Follow Galer one block to the end and turn LEFT into the parking garage, level P1. Parking is free but limited – carpooling or use of public transit are encouraged.
Bus Routes:
Metro routes 24, 32, 33, Rapid Ride D. Exit bus at W. Prospect St. and walk on the Helix Pedestrian Bridge over the railroad tracks. Follow the sidewalk as it passes the tall grain silos on your left, to the main intersection with paved Elliott Bay Trail. Turn right on the Trail and walk 0.7K to the start table at parking garage. Distance from pedestrian bridge to start table will be included in walk route.

Restrooms near the start / finish. Route is on the relatively flat and paved Elliott Bay Trail, which meanders along the edge of Elliott Bay. Pets are permitted but not in buildings – owners responsible for leash and cleanup laws.
