Leschi / Mount Baker

Take a stroll through the Leschi neighborhood and enjoy magnificent, panoramic views of Lake Washington, the Floating Bridge (from above & below), the east side, and the Cascades.  On clear days, see Mt. Baker to the north, and Mt. Rainier to the south, from the viewpoint above the Lacey Murrow floating bridge.

Online Start Box: Registration is available on the Online Start Box.  For registration information, go to ava.org, or try this link.  Once you’ve registered online, the walk directions and map will be available for you to download.  Or you may register at the Physical Start Box, as described below:

Start Location:  Leschi Market.  103 Lakeside Ave., Seattle, WA, 98122.  Start box is a folding file, mounted on the window on the right immediately after you enter the store.

Start Location Hours:  Mon – Sat:  8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.   Sun: 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Store may be closed on major holidays – call store at (206) 322-0700 to confirm.

Comments:  Walk is closed during SeaFair, August 4-9, 2022, due to extreme traffic and congestion in the area.

Driving Directions:  From I-5 take exit 165A to James.  Turn onto James, going uphill.  Right on Boren.  Left on Yesler.  Continue about 1.2 miles to 32nd Ave. S.  Left on 32nd and then follow the main road as it curves downhill to the lake.  Right on Lake Washington Blvd., which quickly becomes Lakeside Ave.  Leschi Market is on the right (lake is on your left).  Use on-street parking – do not park in the spaces in front of the store, except briefly to register.
