Enjoy this lovely walk through several parks on the north end of of Mercer Island, including Luther Burbank Park and the Park-on-the-Lid. Walk by historic Roanoke Inn and Keewaydin Club, and then under I-90 to Calkins Landing and Slater Park. Try the additional 5.6K option which walks on the I-90 bridge for great views across Lake Washington to Mt. Rainier. And if you’re game, try the additional 4K option (rated 2B) which extends from there over the I-90 bridge, for a total of 20K.

Start Location: Walgreens. 7707 SE 27th St. Mercer Island, WA 98040. Start box is behind the counter at the Photo Center at the back of the store – kindly ask for it.
Start Location Hours: Store is open daily, 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Walk hours dawn to dusk. Restrooms in parks.

Driving Directions:
I-90 eastbound, exit 7A (77th Ave SE). At the top of ramp, turn right onto 77th Ave SE. Turn left on SE 27th St. Take the first right into the Walgreens parking lot. After registering, move your car to street parking – anyone parking in the Walgreens lot during their walk may be ticketed.
I-90 westbound, exit 7 (Island Crest Way). At the top of ramp, cross Island Crest Way and continue straight to 77th Ave SE. Turn left on 77th, and continue as per above.
Metro Bus: Routes 216, 554, 550, 630 for service to Mercer Island Park and Ride. From the Park and Ride, walk one block south on 80th Ave. SE (crossing I-90 on the lid) to SE 27th St. Turn right on 27th and walk one block to Walgreens on your left.
