Fourth of July


Celebrate the 4th with a walk in a Duwamish neighborhood that dates back for many centuries.  This walk will visit a traditional Duwamish village site, later occupied by European settlers; a portion of the West Duwamish Greenbelt; and the Pigeon Point Neighborhood of West Seattle.  Enjoy scenic views of the city and of the Duwamish River, and walk through a portion of the West Duwamish Greenbelt.  Walk through a portion of the West Duwamish Greenbelt on a trail that some might find challenging (10K only).  Routes:  5K rated 1B, and 10K rated 2C.

Driving Directions:
From I-5, take West Seattle/Spokane Exit and cross West Seattle bridge.  Take first exit to the right, Delridge Ave, and stay in left lane.  At first stoplight, turn left on Andover, and go up hill.  Right on 21st SW, and left on SW Genesee.  School is on the right.

Comments:
THIS IS A GUIDED OR MAP WALK.  Allow time to register.  Start is between 9:00 and 10:00.  Dogs are welcome – leash and clean-up laws apply.  Carry water.  Sunscreen and hat strongly recommended.  Not suitable for strollers.  Walking sticks useful for the 10K.
