Downtown Seattle

Enjoy many of Seattle’s “must see” sights!  Highlights include the Seattle Center grounds with a large labyrinth, the Olympic Sculpture Garden, the Seattle waterfront, the Pike Place Market, Pioneer Square, historic King Street Station, the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park, the International District, Seattle’s City Hall, and the King County Superior Courthouse.  The 10K route includes all sights, the 5K route includes those sights near start.

Distance & Trail Rating:  5K and 10K.  Rating: 2B (for 10K), and 2A (for 5K).

Online Start Box: Registration is available on the Online Start Box.  For registration information, go to ava.org, or try this link.  Once you’ve registered online, the walk directions and map will be available for you to download.

Comments:  First available restroom is approximately 1/2 mile after start, at Seattle Public Library (Mon-Sun 10am-6pm).  Pets permitted, but not in buildings. Owners responsible for leash and clean up laws.  Pets are not allowed on Light Rail.

AVA Special Programs:  A-MAZE-ing Labyrinths.  Rails-to-Trails (10K).  Step to the Beat.  Town Halls / City Halls.  Walking with America’s Veterans.

ESVA Special Programs:  Historic Train Stations.  Rails to Trails.  Frontline Heroes (Sustenance, Essential).  That’s Entertainment (Cultural, Fairgrounds – Seattle Wheel, Sports Venues).

Light Rail Challenge II:  Qualifies under “South” category.
